Entryway Foam Sanitizers – Pump Fed Selection Guide

Pump Fed “PF” Entryway Foam Sanitizers receive ready-to-use chemical from a central feed system.

Pump Fed Entryway Systems offer long-term advantages, and require pre-planning to select the appropriate backroom components.
  • Centralize key aspects of your sanitation program.
  • No chemical concentrate on the production floor.
  • Reduce employee hazards and the possibility of tampering.
  • Eliminate dilution variations due to water pressure at each doorway.
  • Simplify chemical dilution validation.
  • Easily change chemical or dilution ratio for all connected units.
  • Available with multi-zone activation for maximum flexibility and control.

Pump Fed Entryway Configurations

Timed
vs.
Satellites

Operate independent timed units or activate several satellite units simultaneously.

Timed Controller
vs.
PLC Controller

Satellite units only. Activate several satellites simultaneously with a simple repeating timer or an advanced controller.

Multi-Zone Vision PLC Controller

Vision Satellite units only. Activate satellites in zones at different times using an advanced controller.

Door Size

Choose a model that will cover the entire entryway area with foam.

All configurations are available for:

• 3′ wide walk doors (standard)
• Up to 6′ wide double doors (MV)
• Up to 16′ wide overhead doors (XV)

XV models for larger doors require a Spreader Nozzle on each side of the doorway, while a single nozzle achieves full coverage for smaller doors.

Design the optimal Pump Fed System with the Lafferty Entryway Systems Planning Tool

Pump Fed Timed Systems

Each Pump Fed Entryway Foam Sanitizer includes a control box and operates independently. Simple timer settings apply foam at regular, timed intervals – with a manual override switch.

This is the “standard” installation configuration. It is also the easiest to install and the most flexible to run.

When a larger number of units are attached to the Central System, it may be necessary to adjust the timers to ensure that the number actually foaming at the same time does not exceed the capacity of the Central System being used. Use the Lafferty Entryway Systems Planning Tool to calculate utility requirements.

Control box upgrades are available for Remote Push Button and Electric Eye (Photocell) activation.

Pump Fed Satellites with Controller

Simultaneously activate up to 10 Satellite Pump Fed Entryway Foamers with a simple repeating timer, or advanced controller.

The Satellite Controller regulates airflow to Satellite units, which include a solenoid on the chemical solution line that opens to begin foaming. The control box includes a manual override switch.

This configuration may provide savings due to a lower cost per doorway. Take care to size the Central Pumping System accordingly because all units will run at the same time. Use the Lafferty Entryway Systems Planning Tool to calculate utility requirements.

The Timed Entryway Satellite Controller offers simple settings to activate unit(s) at regular, timed intervals.

Pump Fed Vision Satellites with Multi-Zone Controller

976710

Activate up to 6 zones with up to 10 Vision Pump Fed Satellite Entryway Foam Sanitizers per zone. Each zone is controlled independently via an air pilot signal from the controller, which reduces the pumping capacity required from the Central System(s).

The 6-Zone PLC Vision Satellite Controller features highly flexible programming options for holidays, weekly or seasonal changes in hours, and peak versus off-peak traffic demands. These settings can be different for each zone.

Use the Lafferty Entryway Systems Planning Tool to calculate utility requirements.

NOTE: Multi-zone setups with a single controller require a Vision Controller and Vision Satellites. Standard Entryway Satellites are not compatible with the Vision Entryway Satellite Controller.
