These check valves are typically used to prevent water and/or chemical from entering the air supply line.
Check valves may become clogged with physical debris or chemical buildup, which can be often remedied by disassembling and cleaning the internal components.
Internal components can be accessed by removing the lock ring as shown in the pictures below.
Replace check valves that show signs of excessive wear. Consider alternate seal materials or in-line air filters if you need to replace check valves frequently.

Internal Components
Inspecting the check valve internals can help diagnose the reason for failure. Signs of chemical attack or debris, for example, can guide the selection of alternate check valve materials or the installation of filters. Internal check valve components cannot be replaced individually – see replacement part numbers, above.
